How to respond to a compliment, how you are, what’s up?
It’s the reaction that counts – How to respond to a compliment, how you are, what’s up? it sounds so easy to reply and react the right way, when in fact it is not, it’s not that easy.
How to respond.
We always respond to feedback, feedback is the way we align with people and business. How to respond to a compliment from a co-worker, friend, or family, is not always easy.
If it matters:
Your feelings are taking over. Just last week Will Smith ad the Oscar discovered what it means when you get feedback on a subject, where it matters. How we respond has often to do with how surprised we are! if you are prepared you can respond calmly, controlled, and well-thought-through. If you are surprised it becomes spontainly! How would you say Will Smith reacted.
Ukraine is at war with Russia, it matters to Ukraine to keep their freedom, independence, and rights. Who wants to be invaded, overruled, and killed unless it matters. Even if Russia win the battles, they will lose the war. The Russian dictator, Putin will go into history as the one who started the beginning of the end.
If it does not matter:
You have time to respond easily and smoothly, whether that is laugh, adjust, align or smile. Your feelings are not playing you to, you can respond to what is said or done.
To everyone for whom it does not matter, who does not care, they do not get emotionally involved. The less you know the better.
This is properly why – the Russian people do not or can respond with a smile. The war to them is How to respond to how are you? they believe there is no war, and that all is well.
Are they asking How to respond to a compliment? they follow their president with eyes wide shut.
If they were asking themselves – How to respond to how you are, or what’s up, their insight into how other people and countries are would be very different.
It makes them naive, narrow and misunderstandings can easily arise, the unmaturity in people makes it easy to tell them a un true story, unmaturity makes you easy to control.
Clarity and alignment
A population that fights for what they believe needs strength and power to overcome the unmature approach. What are the challenges to gaining clarity and alignment?
It’s like talking to 14 years old boy, who believes he can do anything and will survive it all, when the facts are you cannot see, what challenges life brings you.
A country like Russia has spent the last 40 years developing, where they are today! – results 80% of the population do not even have a modern toilet? They have the oligarchs, who have so much, and the people have so little. Where if you take EU – everyone has a toilet, everyone has a place to live, and can get help and support.
Alignment created.
We must all create alignment when we have the power. That is when we show our true character, who we are, and what we are.
Mogens Zieler use to say: The one with the power will always abuse it. It is really hard to be a good leader, drive the right way forward and get clarity and alignment.
Think about it when you try to!
What are your challenges? why is it hard and you do never ever want to be a leader of unmature people? Education, improvement, transformation, and technology are all-powerful words in a changing world.
