Being a whistleblower is not helping your performance at all. It is very important that you think it carefully through, after, your life will never be the same, not for you nor your family if you do not do this correctly and wisely.

To act sustainably and doing the right things does not come from fake, cheap, and cheat, but from the right actions taken on a daily basis. Clarity, documentation, and analysis is the key to right performance transparent and simplified.

The goals are clear, the challenges are clear, and even what is the right solution is clear. So why do people not make the right decisions – power and money.

Case A Whistleblowers mistake

If you are a person who is just trying to do your job and want to do the best thing. Your focus is on how to achieve the best outcome and results, focus on management strategy and desire can differentiate from what the task needs as a good solution. If management is too far away from the facts and insight, it is a problem – but sorry to say – it is a problem for you.

Here is a list of a whistleblowers mistake:

  1. You tell people, this is wrong.
  2. Tell the wrong people the right things.
  3. Call people to a meeting and try to explain.
  4. At lunch you give collegue the information.
  5. Frustrations builds up and you lose your temper.
  6. Tell your boss.
  7. Find other managers in the organisation and try to align with them.
  8. Seek solutions to improve the errors.
  9. Stress and worry
  10. Fail from overthinking
  11. Lose sight of what is really taking place an going on.

To be a whistleblower is to help the business stay in a sustainable business. Fake, cheap, and cheat have their limits and are the course of all empire’s fall.

What happens when you tell your boss, that this must be improved and that we are doing this the wrong way? let me tell you what happens. No one in the organization will have lunch with you, no one in the organization will use your services and talk to you.

If, something is wrong and you see it is wrong. Think very carefully about, how this will impact your life going forward.

A boss that is willing to let things slide to other managers’ benefits, what is willing to do to protect himself, and how deep is he involved. There is nothing going on in the business that the CEO is not aware of or in control of. Do not be naive and believe the best. Listen to the facts and trust the insight you hold, and act correctly.

Thinking correctly is not always in the strategy.

Fake, cheap and cheat has always and will always be there, it is one of the first topics they teach you in negotiation and procurement. WHY – because it is hard work to do it the right way.

We would not see all the cheating and fake news if it was not easy, fast and spotlight giving. Facts are that doing it the right way takes time, facts, and insight. We need to collaborate, align and take different angles of reason to understand the moves we make.

Whistleblower the right way to do it.

Blow the whistle the right way, make sure you are anonymous, and that no one can think it is you. Even think about leaving the company before you blow the whistle. Be sure you do not need the network, speak to the people, or engage in any way with them.

You do not know what they are capable of or willing to do, in my case they hacked my data phone and e-mails and the replacer and HR-Director contacted everyone I have been in contact with. Remember you are not dealing with anybody, they know what they are doing.

Protect yourself and your family. It is a tough journey coming back if you fail. Do not take any chances and ensure your evidence.

Here is what to do:

Get the evidence and facts and do not tell anyone anything. Use time to think through, how you will do it when you will do it, and make sure that it is not the company’s own legal department that handles the whistleblower’s cases. In my case, they wrote me an e-mail and filed it. They are still laughing – all the way to the bank.

If it is the business’s own legal department that handles the cases, do not do it at all. Report it elsewhere, but do not add danger to your life and family.

Read through the directive from the EU and ensure that what you are about to reveal is under the directive and make sure you have your own facts and evidence clearly.

Whistleblower or not.

Let me ask you one question: Why do you need to blow the whistle – why do you care? when people around you do not seem to mind or care?

  • Why do you need to tell?
  • What is in it for you?
  • How will you move on?
  • Where will this lead you personally and professionally going forward?

Prepare yourself to answer the hard questions. When you have done it. It’s too late to go back.

The journey without the whistleblower.

I tried to correct the problems and make them right. That is a no-go, follow management lead no matter what. Be silent and smart. Play along and get along no matter what they say.

If it is your problem – the goals are clear, the challenges are clear and you even know the solutions are clear. The best advice I can give you is, take good care of yourself, and do not destroy your future because you are temporarily upset.

There can only be one step ad a time. Take the right steps and take yourself the best way forward. Be safe.
