Not caffeine, not enthusiasm. The sustainable internal resource that fuels your attention, your relationships, your work, and your capacity to show up fully for what matters.

"Energy is not something you spend. It is something you manage — and most people only notice it when it is already gone." CoachingAndLife 52 Ways Program
Energy is the most fundamental resource in any life, and the one that gets the least deliberate attention. Most people manage their time carefully and their energy not at all. They structure their schedule but not their capacity. And then they are surprised when a full diary produces exhaustion rather than accomplishment.
Energy is not a fixed quantity. It is a system — and like any system, it has inputs and outputs. The inputs are not just sleep and exercise, though those matter. They are also the quality of your relationships, the alignment between your values and your work, the presence or absence of meaning in what you do every day. When those deeper inputs are off, no amount of physical maintenance will keep the system running well.
Use this session when you are tired in a way that sleep does not fix. When you are giving everything and still feel depleted. When you want to understand the difference between the things in your life that restore you and the things that drain you without giving anything back.
"The question is not how to have more energy. It is how to stop spending it on things that are not worth what they cost." CoachingAndLife 52 Ways Program © Berit Ladefoged
They know when they do their best thinking and they protect that time from meetings, email, and other people's urgencies. Not because they are precious about it — because they understand that their best contribution requires their best capacity, and best capacity requires management.
They notice — without judgment — which conversations leave them feeling lighter and which leave them depleted. Which commitments energise them and which cost more than they give. They use that information. Not to avoid everything difficult, but to make better choices about what they take on.
They sleep enough, exercise reasonably, eat well enough. But they are running at fifty percent and cannot explain it. The drain is not physical — it is relational, or existential, or the accumulated cost of spending years on things that do not align with who they actually are.
To someone who is exhausted, a person who seems consistently energised can look like they have something the observer lacks — better biology, fewer problems, an easier life. But the person who manages their Energy well has usually made hard choices about what they are and are not willing to spend it on.
To someone who values dedication, a person who responds at all hours, who never says they are too tired, who treats every demand as equally urgent, can look like the most devoted person on the team. But the person who never manages their Energy is not more committed — they are borrowing against a future collapse.
It is the deliberate, honest attention to what sustains you and what depletes you — and the willingness to make choices based on that information, even when those choices disappoint people who are accustomed to having unlimited access to you.
Think about the last time this value was fully present in your life. What did it feel like and what did it make possible? Now think about where it is absent today. Write down the difference between those two states as specifically as you can.
When does this value show up in you naturally and without effort? When do you suppress it because it feels unsafe or too much? Notice the gap between those two answers. That gap is where this week’s work lives.
If this value were fully alive in you, what would change at work? What would change at home? What decision that you have been avoiding would suddenly become clear? Be specific. Generalities do not move anything.
This value is not an end in itself. It is a door. When you live it fully, what does it open? What relationships become easier? What version of yourself shows up that is not yet fully present?
Do not soften this. Where in your life right now is the absence of this value creating friction, distance, or stagnation? Name it precisely. The clearer you are about the cost, the more motivated you will be to do the actual work this week.
This is a guided conversation, not a quiz. The AI will open warmly, ask you real questions, and follow your answers. There are no right responses. Speak from where you actually are today, not from who you think you should be. The conversation will take 10 to 20 minutes and it will go at your pace.
